Capt. Clive Burgess has been a Longboat Key resident for over 27 years. Fishing Sarasota Bay and Gulf of Mexico from canoes to 65ft. sport fishing vessels. Fully Insured and Coast Guard Licensed for over 20 years. We range from 8lb. test, light spinning tackle for trout, snook, pompano and other Sarasota Bay species, to 50lb. rigs for tarpon, and other tough customers roaming the Gulf of Mexico. Live bait is most popular but artificial lures are available and at times a better choice. Once in awhile we still do some trolling. Longboat Key is located on the west central coast of Florida. Here we can fish the Gulf of Mexico to the west, from the beaches to offshore reefs and wrecks, grouper, snapper, kingfish, tarpon and more. To the east lies Sarasota Bay. Anna Maria Island and Tampa Bay lie to the north. Where trout, redfish, snook and other inshore species roam.
Prices start at $350 for a 4 hour fishing trip,
$50 per hour there after.
